Travel Technology Association adds membership category for small businesses

The Travel Technology Association has introduced a new membership category, Advocate. It is designed for startups and small and medium-size travel technology companies.

This is the first time in the association’s nearly 25-year history that it has expanded its membership. Travel Tech has had two categories: Associate and Executive (for board members and founders).

Joining Travel Tech as Advocates are four companies: Group Travel Odyssey, a software and service company focused on helping manage group travel; DCX Travel & Technology, an online travel and expense management company; Dream Guest, which helps rental properties connect with guests via rewards; and UCPlaces, which enables companies to create GPS-guided tours.

Travel Tech said new members will benefit from the trade group’s information and insights on proposed legislation and regulation, while getting the opportunity to meet with lawmakers and share their technology.

“The leadership of the association, knowing the challenges that we face in Congress, wanted to provide an opportunity for companies of all sizes to join in our advocacy efforts,” Travel Tech president and CEO Laura Chadwick said. “Policymakers like to hear from a wide range of companies, and knowing all of the innovation and energy that’s being put in our sector, especially post-pandemic, we thought this was just really great timing.”
