Nidderdale is one of the UK’s favourite Areas of Outstanding Natural Beauty, according to survey results from Which? Travel.

It was awarded five out of five stars for walks and visitor facilities while it was given four for scenery and peace and quiet.

Nidderdale borders the Yorkshire Dales National Park and has moorland countryside and breathtaking scenery.

The team describes the area as “exceptional countryside in the heart of Yorkshire” and a “landscape full of contrasts and rich in wildlife”.

A popular day out since Victorian times, Nidderdale is packed with attractions for the whole family to enjoy.

Brimham Rocks, a collection of unique rock formations, is one of the area’s top-rated attractions on Tripadvisor.

A tourist ‘Evie’ wrote: “The natural rocks at this National Trust location are stunning. We will return to enjoy it more. The rocks and views are spectacular.”

One of the best places to visit in Nidderdale is Pateley Bridge, a charming market town that sits on the Nidderdale Way.

The town’s award–winning high street has tearooms, cafes and pubs and there’s also a few historical buildings to check out.
