People were left in total shock after a woman shared a picture of her not so delicious-looking breakfast that she claimed was served on a first-class flight.
Jane Hawkes shared a picture of the brekkie when she was travelling with British Airways this week – and asked fellow Twitter users what they thought about the meal.
Her plate contained a few different items – including a burnt-looking hash brown (we think), four mushrooms, some grey-coloured egg, a strange sausage and what we assume is bacon (if not, what is it?)
Jane accompanied the picture with the simple caption: "First class #BritishAirways breakfast. Thoughts?"
People weren't afraid to hold back when the picture started to gain some attention, with many in total disbelief that a breakfast could look like the one she was served.
One person said: "Looks disgusting. Also what a horrible colour the egg is."
Another added: "There's egg? Quite a lot of things aren't identifiable", while one more person said: "Spent about 10 minutes trying to find the egg. Still haven't so could you point it out for me?"
Meanwhile, some people were keen to point out they didn't think it was a breakfast served on a British Airways flight.
They shared their own snaps of some much more edible-looking brekkies that they claimed were presented to them on similar journeys.
One person said: "That isn’t from BA first class. There’s some foil containers visible on the left. The food isn’t served from foil containers."
Another added: "This is taken from the preparation in the Galley before being delivered into the Cabin.
"The food is stored in these foils before serving."
British Airways has since confirmed the meal was served on board and apologised to the customer.
A spokesperson told Daily Star: "We're speaking with our third-party caterers to understand what happened here, as this clearly doesn't meet our usual high standards. We're sorry we let our customers down on this occasion."
