Brits flock to cheap party town with £1.40 pints, £12.50 rooms and £13 flights

Europe has plenty of incredible party towns from Ayia Napa to the infamous Magaluf. While Sunny Beach, in Bulgaria, has been making a name for itself.

But, just because you can find cheap beer and all-night parties in Ibiza and Kavos doesn’t mean there aren’t more clubbing destinations yet to be discovered. One Polish party town has been slowly gaining popularity – and it’s perfect for party-loving Brits on a budget.

Lublin, in Poland, has everything from pubs to cocktail bars and bouncing clubs that will get you feeling wild. In the lesser-known Polish city there’s a gorgeous old town with a hopping nightlife scene.

Plus, according to the Guardian, you can bag a litre of beer for £2.50 – that’s just £1.40 a pint – or even a glass of wine for £2. That makes a major difference to £5.90 pints in London or the rumoured £12 mixed drinks in Ibiza!

But, why is the Polish city suddenly making waves? Well, it’s this year’s European Youth Capital – and it’s full of youngsters from its nine universities looking to have a good time.

There are festivals, clubs and events all throughout the year to keep the party going. You can find techno, trap and R&B DJs at Dom Kultury. While the best rated club in the town is NOC, which apparently has plenty of “foreign people”, “the best cocktails” and “appropriate prices”.

According to Nightlife-Cityguide, there’s something for everyone from late-night cafes to nightclubs filled with girls from around the globe. And, most of the atmosphere is centred around Grodzka Street in the Old Town.

But, the Jewish Quarter is also well known for hosting a cool mix of bars and clubs. However, this area is the best for getting to know the locals and experiencing a more authentic side of Lublin.

If you’re looking to head out to Lublin it’s recommended that you stay in the historic centre. And, one of the best parts of the Polish city is that this won’t cost you much at all!

Unlike well-known clubbing towns, the prices are yet to reflect a massive nightlife. In fact, you can stay just 0.4miles from the city centre for £25 between two at Rodmos Hostel – that’s £12.50 a night each or less than £65 for five nights of clubbing.

If you’d rather rent an entire apartment, well on Booking.com you can do that for just £14.50pp per night. Apartment Prusa is also 0.4miles from the centre and has room for two at £29 a night.

A more modern studio just 200 yards from the centre at Best Urban Rooms will cost you £19.50 each – or £39 a night. What a bargain!

But, not only can you bag a pint for £1.40 and a place to sleep for less than the cost of a round in the UK – the flights are cheap too. You can bag a one-way ticket from London to Luton from just £13 with Wizz Air – we found available seats at this price on September 1 and September 12.

Or, head over to Skyscanner where UK to Lublin return flights cost from just £25. The only downside to this party town, is the weather. In July, Lublin reaches a mild 19C.
