Converted retro school bus from 1970s offers off-grid retreat for epic getaway

Looking for the ultimate getaway this summer?

A family-run business is offering visitors the chance to stay in a 1970s school bus this summer.

It is set in a secluded spot, just outside of Seaton in East Devon, and right opposite a vineyard.

The Bluebird bus is a retro conversion that sleeps two guests and one dog which costs at an extra cost of £20.

It has been decked out with a wood burner, gas oven, hob, thermoelectric cool box, BBQ, fire pit, shower and one double bed.

And it's perfect for anyone who fancies a getaway as the experience comes with no internet access, although there is 4G available.

The Bluebird bus is a short drive from the coastal towns of Seaton and Lyme Regis, reports Devon Live.

If you're travelling here by car, there is private off-road parking for one vehicle provided.

A seven-night stay at the Canadian bus starts from £356 and it is currently being advertised on holidaycottages.co.uk.

Luckily there is availability throughout the summer months.

The advert states once you step foot inside the bus you will find the surprisingly light and spacious living area.
