Full list of UK theme parks opened and closed for Queen Elizabeth II’s funeral

On Monday, September 19, Queen Elizabeth II will be laid to rest in a funeral at Westminster Abbey, London.

Out of respect for the passing of the UK’s longest reigning monarch, many shops and businesses will close down for the day to allow workers to mourn.

There will also be a national Bank Holiday on Monday – with most theme parks, attractions and hotels also shut for the day.

But, a few will still allow you to spend the day at the park with shorter periods of shut down.

Flamingo Land

Posting on Twitter, the North Yorkshire theme park and zoo stated: “As a mark of respect on Monday 19 September 2022 there will be a period of quiet reflection as we pause all of our rides and attractions from 10.45am to 12.30pm so that our holiday guests and team members can come together to show their respect and pay tribute during the Queen’s State Funeral.”

This means ticket holders can still head to the theme park, but nothing will be working for just under two hours.

You should be contacted by the park and refunded within 14 days.
