‘I was quoted £3k for hair so flew to Turkey & got 2 week hols on top for less’

A woman who was quoted over £3,000 for a hair appointment travelled to Turkey for a new do – and it was cheaper with a two week holiday included.

Travel influencer Elise Bryn wanted to get her blonde locks topped up with some fresh colour in the US.

But after being faced with having to part with thousands of pounds for her “dream” tresses, the beauty decided to go down a different route.

Instead of splashing the cash or not touching her barnet all together, Elise decided to travel all the way to Turkey to get her hair done.

In a clip posted to TikTok, the globe trotter shared her ‘hair hack’ and quickly went viral for her dedication to saving cash.

Elise explained: “When you’re quoted $4,000 (£3,190) to get your dream hair in the US so you fly to Turkey and get it done there instead.”

The blonde babe filmed herself as she sat in a salon chair with layers of tin foil in her hair and a plastic poncho to protect her clothing.

And, the influencer certainly looked pleased as she flashed her revealed her long icy blonde locks to the camera.

Although she travelled around 6,000 miles to Turkey for the treatment, Elise actually managed to save cash by not getting it done in the US.

She shared: “It costs less including my two week vacation here.

“I paid $450 (£359) plus tip in Turkey for eight hours of blonding, toning, and high-quality 24 inch hair extensions for my super thick hair!

“No, my salon in the US wasn’t trying to rip me off, I’ve been going to them for years and they’ve been slowly increasing their prices to keep up with demand – they are good at what they do.

“But when they raised extension prices for my colour, length from $2,000 (£1,595) to $3,000 (£2,393), I figured with the colour I needed, treatments and tips would come out to be over $4,000 (£3,190) and that’s why I chose Turkey."

On top of her treatment, Elise spent £478 on flights, £638 on the hotel whilst she claimed that the food was “cheap” during her two week stay.

The travel blogger has inspired many with her hair hack and has been branded “smart” for getting an appointment 6,000 miles away.

One person commented: “Girl yes, I’d rather spend $4,000 get a two week vacation and the hair I want then just pay that for only one appointment.”

Another user added: “$450 is a steal for this hair, blonde girls get it. The toning, colouring and lifting. You look fantastic!”

Whilst a third person voiced: “They did my hair while I was over there, all through google translate! It was the best.”

Someone else penned: “Smart. Frankly we all should be flying elsewhere to get things done.”

Meanwhile, a fifth user expressed: “$4,000, America is crazy! Everywhere in Europe would be like 500.”
