Model shares location of ‘wild hot tub’ rock pool but locals beg her not to tell

An influencer amazed followers when she revealed she discovered a natural rock pool she could use as a hot tub in the Irish countryside. Model Roz Purcell lounged in the tidal pool in a bright red bikini.

Roz found the cool natural hot tub while on a trip to Clahane in Clare. She shared a video of herself on Instagram saying: "You find a perfect rock pool for one".

She added: "I was in Clare and I wanted to go for a dip and I think I just randomly found one of the coolest mini rock pools." In the background the sea could be seen stretching away from the rocks as the sun shone down, reports the Irish Mirror.

She wrote: "Do we call these wild Irish hot tubs? Found this little gem in Liscannor, Clahane, Co. Clare, near to the ladder swimming spot, I just walked down along the rocks when the tide was out and came across this.

"There was another one beside it too! They’re deep enough, up to your chest!

"Just be careful there’s no waves coming in and it’s a calm day so you don’t get a surprise. How cool."

Roz showed herself sitting in the pool and floating around enjoying the warm water. But locals weren’t thrilled about the model sharing the location of the pool with her 551,000 Instagram followers, @rozannapurcell.

One woman wrote: "Ahhh no, don’t be telling everyone about our rock pools!" They cited that enough new people were moving into the area.

However, others were happy to share their favourite beach spots with others. Another person said: "Our home every day of the summer.

"The last two days the water at Clahane has been like a hot bath, incredible! My kids love spending the days crab fishing and swimming. Clahane is a true gem. Glad you enjoyed it Roz."

A third added: "I'm always so envious of these amazing spots you find!" Others said the pools were their "idea of heaven" and yet more said they visited the beaches in the area every summer.

Clahane is a great place to relax when visiting the region. Even dolphins and porpoises have been seen in the area – so you might spot some while relaxing in a rock pool.

If you're looking for a beach paradise closer to home then there are plenty in England, Scotland and Wales to visit too. Fistral Beach in Cornwall is any surfers dream beach. The tropical-looking beach is near Newquay and has crystal clear water in warm weather.

It’s seen as Cornwall’s "big wave" location with heights of 30ft, surf competitions and festivals. The beach is backed by high cliffs and sand dunes making it a fun area to explore with lots of tiny rock pools and plenty of space to sunbathe.

Plus, the waterfall, "huge cave", white sands and blue water of Nanjizal Beach in Cornwall make it popular too. And to add to the location's charm, it's also a great place for wildlife, with seals often being spotted in the water. Dolphins have also been spotted swimming out at sea.
