‘Must-see’ UK city named one of world’s coolest destinations

Looking for staycation inspiration? Luckily, one of 2024’s coolest destinations in the world is right here in the UK.

National Geographic’s prestigious ‘2024 Cool List’ ranks the best destinations in the world and one city in the UK made the list.

Belfast, the capital of Northern Ireland, was the second destination on this year’s ‘Cool List’ and it’s the ideal spot for a 2024 staycation.

National Geographic said: “If city pride in Belfast is like a flower that’s managed to grow in difficult soil, then 2024 should see a super-bloom thanks to the Northern Irish capital’s year of culture.

“It’s been years in the making, the 2010s saw an unprecedented rise in the number of visitors, drawn in part by the new Titanic Experience Museum, its use as a Game of Thrones filming location, and a chance to look back on turbulent history with some peaceful distance.”
