Naked holidays are on the rise in 2020, from nudist hotels to erotic cruises

Looking to book a holiday this 2020?

There’s a new way to vacation which you may be interested in… or may want to totally avoid.

While the idea may still be taboo to some, in 2020 we’re almost overwhelmed by new, niche trip option and this one is no different.

Nude holidays are becoming more common than ever before and these clothes-optional trips away could be the next big thing.

It’s the liberation of skinny-dipping which has laid the foundation for this kind of trip away fuelled by the naked tourism trend which went big on Instagram.

Add to this the increasing preoccupation with sustainability – and nude vacationers might argue that they’re helping to save the planet too by forgoing the usual fast-fashion holiday wardrobe.

Desire Experience is one travel website with an entire section dedicated to those Brits who are looking to bare all on their summer hols.

Its cruises are also marketed on the Temptation Holidays site.

Described as “adult-only holidays where you can go naked if you wish”, the all-nude resorts and cruises include clothing optional areas.

Desire cruises are running twice in 2020 and again in 2021.

The Desire Greek Island cruise, which stops at Athens, Mykonos, Santorini and more is already sold out – proving that the demand for naked holidays is vast.

While the second 2020 cruise, the Desire Red Carpet Cruise sets off from Nice, France and travels past Cannes, Florence, Pisa and ends in Barcelona.

The cruise is designed as “the ultimate VIP experience” which is “the excellent erotic choice for sensual sailors.”

Designed specifically for couples there are clothing optional pool areas, private playrooms, spicy signature thee nights and couples’ workshops.

They also throw pool parties, meet and greets, intense icebreakers and have DJs, shows and performances.

Their “provocative erotic entertainment” is hosted by the “Desire Playmakers” and there is a spa, beauty salon, specialty dining packages and excursions (clothed).

In 2021 the company will be charting two new cruises: a Rome Athens cruise, travelling through Italy, Sicily, Greece and Turkey, and a Lisbon cruise which travels through Portugal, and the Canary Islands.

The advertisement says that “newcomers to the adult-lifestyle can attend mix and mingle events to meet new friends and explore expanding their relationships.”

However, it’s not only niche websites which are catering to the craze as comparison site Icelolly.com also has a section for nude vacationers.

Their holiday’s are split into two sections: Naked & Nude and Hedonistic Holidays.

Where Naked & Nude are for those who enjoy the naturist side of nudity, and have no sexual element, their Hedonistic Holidays involve a level of erotica.

Last year, the company offered a £1,499 seven night all-inclusive at the Hedonism II resort in Jamaica.

It also sold £2,699 all-inclusive trips to the Hidden Beach Au Naturel Resort in Mexico and a £399 seven night, half-board holiday to the Naturist Panorama Hotel in Zante.
