Passenger labelled ‘gross nuthead’ for drying trainers using plane air con vent

A tourist has been slammed after being caught on camera drying his shoes – using the plane's air conditioning system…

Over on Reddit, people were disgusted at the plane passenger’s behaviour – and some worried it would cause a smell.

A snap showed the person holding his trainer up to the air conditioning vents above his head.

The poster said: “My dad sent me this picture from his plane ride today.”

The shoe owner's actions horrified many – after the photo was shared on Reddit, people shared their disgust.

One person said: “What an egocentric shoe drying nuthead.”

“It’s amazing how many people are such trash,” added another.

A third noted: “I'm not sure I understand what's happening here.”

To which the poster who shared the snap said: “Drying their sweaty shoe with the airplane a/c.”

Another commenter advised: “You are not supposed to dry your shoes with the overhead vents for everyone to smell.”

While another said: “Just press the button to call the flight attendant, I'm sure they would ask the person to stop.”

One person dubbed the shoe dryer as a “gross human”.

And, holding his shoe up to the air vents could contribute to how filthy the air conditioning units get on planes.

A flight attendant warned people not to touch or adjust the vents with their bare hands due to how unhygienic they are.

Air hostess, @katkamalani, revealed the “nastiest parts on a plane from a flight attendant.”

She noted: “Yeah those air vents have seen thousands of hands, wipe them down before you touch them.”
