Plus size babe shows reality of travelling on RyanAir flight as a larger person

A plus size woman has revealed the reality of travelling on a Ryanair flight as a larger person.

Kirsty Leanne often shares envy-worthy travel clips with her 47,000 followers on TikTok, where she documents her journey around the world.

The curvy beauty is on a mission to help plus size women feel more confident about globe-trotting.

And the size 24/26 creator recently went viral for sharing how she travels on a Ryanair flight – including the difficulties she faces as a curvy lass.

In the video, which has now racked up 1.2 million views, Kirsty booked a ticket on the airline without paying the extra money to choose her seat as she wanted to fly on a “budget".

Unfortunately, the plus size babe wanted an aisle seat to have more room but was randomly assigned a middle row seat.

As Kirsty found her seat on the flight she shared: “Very little leg room but doable for a 1.5 hour flight.”

She also asked for a seat belt extender so she could fasten herself safely on the flight.

Kirsty discovered that the aisle seat was empty so she decided to move from the middle for a bit of extra room, she shared: “The aisle seat was empty so I moved over – this is the space I had in my seat with armrest up and armrest down.”

Although she was yet to encounter many issues, the plus size influencer found difficulty with the tray on the flight as she could not put it down fully.

Kirsty admitted: “The tray table was a big fat no.”

She then showed how she struggled to fit the tray past her tum.

But, the problems did not stop there.

Kirsty filmed how she struggled to get into the plane bathroom – and ended up not using the loo because she could not freely move about.

She said: “Bathrooms were also a no go – I ended up not using it in the end and waiting until I got to the airport.”

“Door opened fully, rather than in half!”

Despite Kirsty providing insight into how she travels as a larger person, some people took to the comments to slam her for sharing her experience.

One person slammed: “Nah what are you doing blaming the airline.”

Another user added: “How is this the airline's fault.”

Whilst a third person voiced: “To be honest Ryanair are a budget airline and have the plane legroom designed for an average person. Next time you will have to pay for a seat with more room.”

Not having any of the hateful comments, Kirsty hit back to explain that she was just sharing her experience travelling.

She said: “I’m sharing my experience as a plus size person on Ryanair so others can see what it’s like but yes I do think airlines should do more to be accessible for plus size people.

"That doesn’t mean I’m blaming them for me being fat.

“It’s pretty simple.”

However, not everyone questioned why Kirsty made the video and instead praised her for showing the reality of travelling as a plus size person.

One person praised: “Videos like these are so important, thank you so much for this.”

This user shared: “Thank you for creating this content! You’re really helping me feel better about travelling as plus size.”

And this person cheered: “Flying should be accessible for everyone, not your fault.”
