Spain has cheapest holidays for Brits in October – including a week under £250

The summer holidays are far behind us, but for those already dreaming about their next break, October can be a great time to grab budget-friendly breaks (yes, even during half term).

It can be one of the best months to go abroad as prices have dropped and the weather still holds up in many countries. To offer up some inspiration, Which? has revealed the cheapest destinations for Brits in October, including the likes of Spain and Turkey. However, the former reigns supreme; four out of five of the cheapest hotspots were in Spain, reports the Express.

The cost of flights and hotels in Spain is remarkably low and the weather and beaches remain gorgeous in the autumn, but the cheapest area isn't a hotspot like Alicante or the Costa Brava this year. In 2023, the research showed that the cheapest place for British holidays to go to was the Costa Dorada – a golden strip of Mediterranean coastline in the Catalonia region just south of Barcelona.
