Spirit Airlines passenger becomes a viral sensation after bringing his own PARACHUTE on a flight: ‘The smartest idea I’ve ever seen’

TikToker Kagan Brooks uploaded a clip showing how her husband boarding a Spirit Airlines flight with his own parachute on his back ‘just in case.’

While it was meant as a joke, the avid traveler was shocked to find that the TikTok quickly went viral with more than 1.6 million views. 

Many people deemed the parachute backpack a ‘smart’ and ‘good’ idea.

In Brooks’ clip, her husband can seen boarding the plane with his parachute rucksack on. 

He then takes it off before storing it in the overhead bin. 

In the accompanying caption, Brooks says: ‘I was laughing out loud the entire time.’

In a follow-up video, she makes sure to point out the stunt was a joke. 

In response to those who thought it was a genuine idea, Brooks clarifies: ‘My husband was bringing his rig to Miami so he could go skydiving there.

‘I thought people understood humor but the comment section says otherwise.’

Some viewers also expressed their horror at other people thinking the parachute had a genuine purpose.
