St. Lucia gives vaccinated visitors more options

St. Lucia has eased on-island protocols for vaccinated travelers, who now can book rental cars, dine at more local restaurants, explore local shops and markets, and take part in additional activities throughout the island. The new measures took effect May 31.

“While all visitors can experience a wonderful vacation as well as approved tours and attractions, fully vaccinated travelers can explore the entire destination at their leisure while following our protocols. We’ve safely managed tourism since reopening our borders in June 2020 with no need to close because of our protocols and the bubble we created for our visitors and frontline tourism workers,” said Prime Minister Allen Chastanet.

Travelers will indicate that they are fully vaccinated (last dose of a two-dose vaccine or a one-dose vaccine at least 14 days prior to travel) when they fill out the pre-arrival travel authorization form and upload proof of vaccination. Visitors must travel with their vaccination card.

Upon arrival in St. Lucia, pre-registered, fully vaccinated travelers are expedited via a dedicated Health Screening line and receive a non-electronic identification wristband to be worn during their stay and removed when departing St. Lucia.

Non-vaccinated travelers continue to be permitted to stay at up to two certified and approved properties for the first 14 days of their stay.

Regardless of vaccination status, no changes have been made to pre-arrival protocols for travelers. All arrivals ages 5 and up must obtain a negative PCR test taken no more than five days before arrival, submit the online travel registration form and adhere to safety protocols in place, including wearing a mask in public places.
