Delta brings back hot meals for premium-class transcontinental flyers

Delta will bring back hot food service in Delta One and first-class cabins on six transcontinental routes beginning June 15.

Delta customers in those cabins on flights between New York or Boston and Seattle, Los Angeles or San Francisco will have hot food options for all three meals, including lemon ricotta pancakes, smoked salmon and beef short ribs.

The domestic routes will be the first to resume hot meals since they were suspended due to the Covid-19 pandemic.

Beginning this week, Comfort Plus, Delta One and first-class customers will also have the option of selecting items such Kind energy bars, cookies and potato chips from a snack basket on longer-haul flights. Snack boxes for purchase will be available for Delta economy passengers on those flights.

Delta resumed ordinary snack service for domestic flights on April 14, offering Goldfish crackers, Biscoff cookies, almonds and Clif bars.
